Rubio's absence prompted a broader meeting of foreign ministers from Ukraine, Britain, France and Germany to be cancelled, though talks continued at a lower level, reports Reuters, followed Periscope.
After talking to his British counterpart, Rubio said he was replanning his trip to the United Kingdom for the coming months.
“Mezi I expect to continue after continued discussions in London and reconplant my trip to the UK in the coming months”, he said in an X post.
The United States will now be represented by Ukraine's envoy, General Keith Kellogg.
