While it is thought that as many as 2054 births will be halved, leading up to 22 thousand babies born in 2024, to have about 101,000 babies in 2050, experts have concluded that immigration is the main cause of birth loss, reports the report. Euronews. al, broadcast Periscope.
They have ranked Albania first in the world for the number of births lost as a result of migration. Sociologists look at this situation with concern, saying the consequences will be multiple.
“These will be reflected primarily in the contraction of the Albanian republic's population, in the second row in the decline in the number of marriages, in the third place in the aging population”, Entela Binjaku said.
According to the projections of the United Nations, all countries in the region expect to have drastic birth declines as a result of the migration of women in reproductive age. Even more sensitive is in countries with low fertility rates, where couples do not even replace themselves. Italy and Greece are the two countries making exceptions, as they are countries where they still benefit from birth hikes by immigrants. /Periscope/
