Krasniqi, through a Facebook post, has written that the first party, although it has the right to propose the candidate for Parliament Speaker, has no right to impose it, especially when it does not have the parliamentary majority.
According to him, the Vetevendosje Movement must engage in dialogue with all parliamentary groups to identify a candidate who enjoys the necessary support of the majority of MPs.
The restoration of a candidate who has failed to secure enough votes in previous sessions conflicts with the need to constitutionalise the Assembly as soon as possible. MPs from other parties have their own constitutional and political right to accept or reject proposed candidacy”, Krasniqi wrote on Facebook.
