Present at this official inauguration were Albin Kurti, Artane Rizvanolli, the mayor of the Leposaviqi municipality, Lulzim Hetemi, Kosovo Post Board Chairman Gzim Paci and Kosovo Post Chief head Nora Raraci.
Kurti commended and thanked the Post, the Ministry of Economy and the Leposavich municipality for the work. He said the opening of the new office on the restored property is co-operation of legitimacy and quality.
The “those licensed operators that worked earlier were closed and now we have the Kosovo Post, where other than regular mail shipments can also be accepted in euros for the citizens of Leposaviqi. This is also good news for municipal residents, but also for the public postal service of the Republic of Kosovo”, he said.
He further stressed that the Kosovo Post has once operated with losses, while now with the new chief chief, Nora Raracin, it operates profitablely, and in addition there are territorial expansions everywhere, throughout Kosovo municipalities and within municipalities, including in areas that are farther away from towns and towns.
Kosovo's “Post does not see where the office is profitable, but there are where citizens can get service”, he said.
The mayor, Lulzim Hetemi, thanked and commended the government and mail for today's inauguration and invited the latter to open other points in the municipality he is running.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Post Chief-in-chief Nora Raraci spoke of the company's plans to lead, to be as present as citizens need public operator services, but also about the results of expanding the mail points network. She said: “If we talk compared to last year, we have had an 11% increase in the number of post offices throughout Kosovo. If we talk about Kosovo's four northern municipalities, two years ago we only had two offices at the border points, while celebrating the 13th point, which I believe is a huge result of having reached it in two years -- 11x1>.
Artane Rizvanolli said the Kosovo government will continue to support the Post in expanding its network and advancing the services it offers.
Kosovo's “Post, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, is implementing its expansion and modernisation programme. As a result: 157 active post offices have been reached throughout Kosovo, marking an 11% increase; In four northern municipalities, 13 post offices already operate; New transportation, IT infrastructure and new post and financial services have been invested. Kosovo Post provides modern services to citizens, including international money transfers, distribution of state documents and support for development of e-commerce”, Rizvanolli said.
