Italian authorities have found the phone of Albania's 22-year-old Ilaria Sula, who was brutally murdered in Rome on March 26th by her former partner, Mark Samson. The phone was found in the apartment on Homs Street, in the neighborhood known as the subx0 African subzona”, where the macabre crime took place.
Finding the device was possible thanks to the testimony of the criminal author himself, who was helped by lawyers Fabrizio Gallo and Alessandro Pelliu. The information he provided proved crucial for the location of the phone, which was seized by investigators from the Flying Team.
Piazzale Clodio prosecutors, who are investigating the case and have filed charges of murder and hiding the corpse against Samson, have already ordered forensic analysis of the telephone.
The device's expertise is expected to help rebuild the latest details of Ilaria Sula's life and further whitewash the motives and dynamics of the crime.
The event shocked public opinion in Italy and Albania. Ilaria, an Albanian student at “University La Sapienza” in Rome was stabbed in her ex-boyfriend's apartment while her parents were at home.
Samson then hid her body in a suitcase and abandoned her in a forested area near Paul, near the Italian capital. In his testimony, he confessed to crime, saying he was motivated by jealousy.
Investigations into this serious event are continuing, while data from the phone is expected to reveal more about the victim's recent contacts and movements./Periscopi/
