We remember that Albulen Hadziu's candidacy, proposed by the Vetevendosje Movement, failed to secure the necessary majority in either of the two votes: in the first one, Haxhiu received 57 votes for, 20 against and 3 abstentions; in the second, the result was almost the same, 57 for, 19 against and 3 abstentions.
The Social Democrat Initiative and two deputies of non-Serb communities abstained, unable to elect the new chairman. After the failure of the vote, the session was interrupted and is expected to continue at 1500 today, hoping for a new political agreement that will give the Parliament the leadership needed to start work.
