In the annual report on the implementation of Foreign Policy and Security, drafted by Euro-Deputet David McCallister, the European Parliament requires further intensifying of reforms and not to undermine the work of the SPAK.
The European Parliament welcomes Albania's ambition to quickly wrap up membership negotiations; underlines the need to further intensify reforms to address shortcomings that continue to be present with regard to the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organised crime; warns against any attempt to undermine the work of independent institutions, such as the Special Anti-Corruption and Organised Crime Foundation (SPAK) ”.
