The KFOR commander has stressed the mission's effort to ensure a safe environment for all those living in Kosovo, and also efforts to support dialogue between the two countries, which is facilitated by the EU.

The commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Bardoni, hosted today the visit of the Special Representative of the European Union (EUSR) for the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue, His Eminence Peter Sörensen and Special Representative of the European Union (EUSR) to Kosovo, His Eminence Aivo Film Centers in KFOR, Head Oravours in the city of KFOR.
Today's visit to Kosovo was the second in Mr. Sørensen; as such, he did not miss the opportunity to exchange opinions with KFOR commander for developments in the security situation throughout the region.
KFOR commander underlined KFOR's efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and in support of the EU facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, where KFOR and the EU operate in permanent co-ordination.
General Bardonin stressed KFOR's firm commitment to supporting all efforts by the International Community to benefit stable security throughout Kosovo and regional stability.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders./Periscopi/
