Prizren prosecutor discovers drug lab

Prizren, April 23, 2025 The Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren reports the public opinion that, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, the Unit for the Investigation of Narcotics ♫ Gjakova, after a several-month investigation by implementing specific investigative measures, today, with 23.04.2025, have conducted an action in Prizren, where a drug laboratory has been discovered and three (3) suspected persons have been arrested.

The defendants, from unconfirmed and ongoing dates to 23.04.2025, in Prizren, without authorization and co-ordination, cultivate the plant “Canabis Sivlia” (Mariiuhaa), with the aim of producing narcotics or psychotropic substances, so that in a closed object, they create an internal laboratory “into the door”, where they cultivated and raised about 200 plants “Canabis Svéma”, and prepared them for market sales. With these actions in co-ordination, they have committed criminal work “Constructuring weed, cocaine bush or cannabis plants” by Article 272 par.1 concerning KPRK's Article 31.

Likewise, the same, without authorisation and co-operation, with the aim of selling or distributing, grow the plant “Canabis Svjeta” with the aim of offering for sale, which has been declared by law as narcotics, in that way that defendants, after providing narcotics from the plants themselves, plan to sell narcotics to various people throughout the Republic of Kosovo. With these actions in co-ordination, they had to commit criminal work “Blerja, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotrope and analogue” by Article 267 par.1 related to KPRC's Article 31.

During this action, the object has been checked, with the State Prosecutor's Wars, except for the plants “Canabis Svjeta” and other accompanying materials that have served in the cultivation of narcotics, has seized even the residential facility that served in narcotics cultivation.

The three defendants arrested are under a 48-hour ban, and within the legal deadline for the same Randa Crime Department, it will apply for the detention measure's appointment.
