The first two sessions of the Kosovo Parliament's constitutionalisation failed after MPs' mandates were not approved, as such was achieved on Saturday, where deputies from the ninth legislature were able to swear.
However, despite MPs' oath, the Assembly continues to remain uncontained. All this after the first ruling Vetevendosje Movement as the winning party put Albulen Hadziu's name for the top parliament and the same was voted with only 57 votes, which did not suffice and would not be enough today if they were the same number.
Haxhiun did not vote either from the LDK, the AAK's PDK and her name was abstained by the Social Democrat Initiative.
As Haxhi's name is reported to again be LVV's proposal for chief parliament, the second largest party in the Kosovo Parliament The PDK claims it has not changed its stance on the issue.
PDK Deputy Chairman Vlora Citaku for News.net confirmed that Vetevendosje's proposal will not be voted, while adding that no one has approached them to find any consensus candidate.
We haven't changed our attitude. In principle we don't vote their proposals, but we haven't arrived at the point where any more consensual candidate” has been asked, Vlora Citaku told the news.net, broadcast. Periscope.
The same stated about news.net and Time Kadriy from the AAK that they have not changed their stance, but unlike the PDK it was declared that her party could vote for if names such as Albanian Selimi or Saranda Boguyevci are proposed.
We won't vote on Albulen Hadziu. Let's look for other names, maybe Saranda will, Albanian Selimi will. We'll see what the names will be and we'll consult the group. As far as we've heard, Albulen Haxhiu said her name would again be a proposal for the chief speaker”, said Time Kadrij of news.net.
The Vetevendosje Movement as the winning party of the February 9th elections has the right to continue proposing various names by the Parliament Speaker's party.
Of the names mentioned so far were Albulen Haxhiu, Saranda Bogujevci, Albanian Selimi and Mimoza Kusari-Lila all these women from this political party. But another name expected as a proposal option was that of Fatmir Limaj. A partnership between Kurt and Limaj was also envisioned in the proposal for the chief parliament. But that didn't happen, at least in previous sessions.
Today's developments in the Assembly remain to be seen, and how much Vetevendosje will achieve in the general constitutionalisation of the Parliament and then in forming the government.
