US, Britain conduct attacks on rebels in Yemen

This is the first British Army involvement in the new US air campaign targeting the group supported by Iran.

The United Kingdom has offered a detailed explanation for the conduct of the attacks, unlike the US, which has shared little detail about the 800 attacks it has carried out since the air campaign began on March 15th.

The operation, dubbed “Rough Rider”, has targeted the rebels as US President Donald Trump's administration negotiates with the main rebel supporter, Yemen, over Tehran's rapidly progressing nuclear programme, follows. Periscope.

The United Kingdom Defence Ministry said it attacked “a group of buildings used by the Huth rebels to produce fears of the kind used to attack ships at the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and the location of the attack was about 25km south of the capital, Sana”.

According to the Ministry, FGR4 Typhoon FGR4 aircraft were involved in the attacks, which dropped panway IV bombs.

“Sulmet was carried out after nightfall, when the possibility of civilians being in that area was lower”, the Defence Ministry said.

British authorities gave no information about the damage caused by the attacks, even if they believe they killed anyone. Meanwhile, the US Army Central Command has not confirmed that this attack has been carried out.

On April 18th, an American attack on the port of Ras Isa ʹ, where fuel is kept, killed at least 74 people and injured another 171. This was the deadliest attack since the U.S. has launched an air campaign against the Huthi rebels.

The US is conducting air strikes in Yemen by the two aircraftmen in the region, USS Harry S. Truman at the Red Sea and the USS Carl Winson at the Arabian Sea targeting the Huthy rebels because of the attacks the group carried out on ships at the Red Sea, which is a key route to global trade and because of attacks on Israel.

The Huth rebels are the last militant group within the so-called “World Resistance” a network created by Iran, which included Tehran's armed regional collaborators. The Hienas rebels have launched their attacks because of the war between Israel and Hamas the Palestinian group declared terrorist organisation by the US and the European Union in Gaza and because of Israel's decision to block aid shipments to Gaza Palestinians. / REL/
