He has given two options on how to get out of the situation, but none is the resignation of government officials to receive MP mandates under law.
Abrashi has said MPs “who refuse to become deputies” should be replaced by deputies of their subjects. “Refusing the report's failure mandates is fact. All those who have gained civic confidence but who have refused to verify the mandates at the 15 April session have really and formally refused to become deputies and representatives of citizens. Therefore, non-vote deputies would have to be replaced by deputies of relevant subjects in line to become MP according to the certificateed list of results from the CEC”, he wrote on Facebook.
Similarly, he says his party is also about the election option, so “needs consultations”.
On the other hand, regarding this situation, we already have a concrete proposal of PDK Chairman Memli Krasniqi for the election date, which has proposed June 15th 2025. We're willing to discuss this too, so it takes preliminary consultations because the impasse is not an option. We already have more than one option and let it be declared for which it is”.
