The decision has been made with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani's proposal.
Under the decision made public, Albania has decided to temporarily terminate the agreement signed in 2020 for free movement of citizens without the need for visas between the two countries.
This agreement, which was first adopted with the decision No.152, the 19th of February 2020, will no longer apply to Belarusian citizens.
“The outcome of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Republic of Belarus, for mutual lifting of visa requirements“, said in the government's official document.
With the entry into force of this decision, the citizens of Belarus will have to be equipped with visas to enter Albanian territory.
Also, the previous no.295 decision, May 15th 2024, has been abolished, which had imposed the partial suspension of the deal. This new decision abolishes it and sets a full suspension.
The decision goes into effect immediately and will be published in the Official Library, shaping the new rule for the entry of Belarusian citizens into Albania. /Periscope/
