Zelensky: Relations with the US to survive but will not leave Russia no territory

Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine would not issue any territory to Russia as part of a peace agreement.
He said he was still willing to sign an mineral agreement with the US and described a discussion with European leaders to send a peace plan to the US as a key development.
In an extraordinary meeting that was broadcast live Friday, Trump accused Zelensky of not being grateful for US assistance, for showing disrespect for his country and playing a Third World War, questioning Washington's continued support for Ukraine in its three-year fight with Russia.
It becomes known that Zelensky spoke to reporters at a London airport after the summit with European leaders in London, writes Reuters.
While looking in a good mood and thanking European countries for their support, the Ukrainian leader was careful to balance his concern with Friday's events in the Oval Office with a clear desire to continue his conversation with Washington.
Zelensky said he did not think the US would stop its aid to Ukraine, because as the “leader of the civilized world” they would not want to help Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But he said he remains prepared for any results.
“As for the salvation of relations, I think our relationship will continue”, Zelensky told reporters.
But he added: “I don't think it's right when such discussions are fully open. The format of what happened, I don't think it brought anything positive or extra for us as partners”
It is reported that at Sunday's summit, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said European leaders had agreed to draft a peace plan in Ukraine to take it to the US, in hopes Washington would offer the security guarantees Kiev says are vital to preventing Russia.
Everyone should understand that Ukraine will never recognise anything that is occupied by Russia as Russian territories”, Zelensky said.
As far as my resignation is concerned, if I change... it won't be easy to change me, because it's not enough just to make choices. You'll have to prevent me from participating in elections and it'll be a little more difficult”, he added.
Otherwise, Zelensky reiterated that if Ukraine is granted NATO membership, he would have fulfilled his mission.
