Trump will head to Congress this evening

President Donald Trump will be heading to Congress this evening after weeks in office, during which he has made decisions that have had the greatest impact on the history of each presidency.

President Trump is expected to present his vision of economy and immigration policy.

Similarly, he is expected to protect some of his recent controversial decisions, such as he is to cut off the federal government, or the clash with Ukrainian President Volodyyr Zelensky.

Republicans are divided into issues related to cutting vital programmes such as the Mediyad, which provides health insurance for low-income people, lowering debt, or extending a law adopted in 2017, for tax cuts approved during Mr. Trump's first term.

President Trump has called for the approval of what he has called “a major and beautiful constitutionx1> law to finance his internal policy agenda.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we will offer results on the agenda of First America”, Republican House Chairman Mike Johnson told reporters last week.

“We will implement it all and not only part of it”, he added.

Congress's Democrats say that the republican approach to the budget means profit to the rich.

“There should be no doubt that it will rob elderly people, children disabled persons, they will pay for the rich to become richer”, said last week the minority leader in the Senate, Chuck Schumer.

President Trump is also expected to speak on the issue of tariffs to other countries and to protect the need for their deployment.

The 25% tariffs to goods imported from Canada and Mexico took effect Tuesday.

President Trump says the tariffs would be an incentive for companies to produce more within the United States, as a way to avoid them.

While traditionally the presidential talks in Congress focus on domestic issues, President Trump will also address some urgent foreign policy challenges.

After meeting with Ukraine's leader, Zelensky last Friday, President Trump told reporters that he does not think Ukraine has fully acknowledged that the United States has assisted him with about $200 billion since the beginning of the Russian attack on February 24th of 2022.

President Trump is also expected to address the issue of the Gaza ceasefire, as well as his plans for the reconstruction of the region involved in war.

She will be the senator and former CIAanalyssa Slotkin, who will deliver the speech on behalf of the Democrats in response to President Trump's speech.

Mrs. Slotkin won the election in Michigan's field state, focusing on issues like the economy.
