US President Donald Trump stated that he has representatives who are going to Russia right now as we speak” to discuss the US proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
“We hope we can get a truce from Russia... this would be 80% of the way to complete this terrible blood flow”, he said during a meeting in the Oval Office with the Irish chief.
Ukraine agreed to a 30-day ceasefire Tuesday following talks with the US, the first official meeting between the two countries since the public clash between Trump and Zelensky.
Meanwhile, attacks on Ukraine continued overnight, says Kiev, while Russia claims it has recovered more from its Kursk region from Ukraine.
