Haxhi Thaci died Sunday at the age of 87.
The father of former Kosovo president, Hashim Thaci, had for a time been lying in hospital because of serious health.
He had great longing for his son, who is now being held captive by The Hague for nearly five years.
The latter came to see him only a few days before he closed his eyes.
Hashim Thaci was allowed by the Special Chambers to meet his father on March 13th.
However, Haxhi Thaci had visited his son in The Hague, even in poor health and in a delayed age.
The last time was May 19, where he and his wife entered the detention center./Periscopi/
