Gruda has named this decision unconstitutional and illegal, stressing that Kosovo has established this court in hopes of European justice, reports Periscope.
He has sharply criticised the Special's actions, saying they have nothing to do with standards of a fair judgment and that they constitute a pure persecution, which is totally unacceptable.

The Special Court's decision not to allow President Thaci to attend his father's funeral is unconstitutional and illegal.
Kosovo founded this court in the belief it would offer European justice. What the Special Court is doing today has nothing to do with European justice and standards of a fair trial.
This is not justice. It's pure persecution. It's totally unacceptable.
