The Regional Directorate of Pristina Police has announced that it has carefully addressed the situation of the last days connected with a series of shooting incidents in various areas, such as forest areas, rural areas, residential suburbs and within cities.
In all these incidents, police have reportedly reacted quickly by going out to the fire spots to help evacuate, control traffic, as well as around security. Visiting the affected areas has been made to provide information and support to residents.
“We have been working closely and co-ordinating with the Agency for Emergency Management, fire services, medical emergency services, municipal emergency directorates and other relevant agencies, sharing real-time information and resources, and continuous actions to curb the spread of fires and minimize damage”, the report says.
Police argue that some of these incidents can be attributed to climate conditions, some due to accidental causes but that all leads have been pursued to investigate and determine whether any fires have been deliberately set.
On the other hand, police report that some people have been identified by police and cases where they have been involved are being treated carefully.
The success of our preventive efforts is heavily supported in community involvement. So we call on the community to remain alert to the current circumstances associated with fires, to adhere to fire safety guidelines distributed by police and other mechanisms, to immediately report any suspicious activity and at the same time avoid actions or activities that could cause fire.
Police are with you, stay alert, stay safe together, we protect our community”, the announcement concludes.
