Obadiah's Hamza met last night from public view

Bedri Hamza and Lumir Abdixhiku have met face-to-face Sunday evening, media reports in the country.

At least two media, Express i n National Journal, report today based on sources within the two parties for the meeting between Hamza and Abdixhik.

The meeting has been kept away from the public eye, and neither of the parties has yet to comment on media reports.

On Saturday, the Central Election Commission announced the final results of the February 9th parliamentary elections. Discussions about forming a new government have not yet begun. This meeting between Hamza and Abdixhik is the first reported to have happened to the two leaders of parliamentary parties released from the election.

The PDK and the LDK, but also the AAK, have ruled out the possibility of a government coalition with Albin Kurti's Vetevendosje Movement, which has won the elections.

Kurti has said his party will form the country's new government, though given the outcome of the elections his party has managed to secure 48 seats, insufficient to form a majority in the Kosovo Assembly.

Opposition parties, PDK (24), LDK (20) and AAK-Nisma jointly number 52 deputies.

Candidate of The PDK for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, has said a few days ago that the PDK will wait its turn to take on the constitutional obligation to form the government if Vetevendosje spends its opportunity without reaching out to form a majority.

While a possible coalition with the LVV has ruled out the three opposition parties, Hamza voiced optimism of a co-operation among the up-to-date opposition.

The most unclear remains the position of Fatmir Limaj's Initiative, which a few weeks ago expressed readiness to join the government coalition even with LVV.
