Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has met today with EU Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Peter Sorensen.
Abdixhiku said that “I specifically announced and with our position for refusing the draft resolution of the government-accepted Association to the evacuation; as a territorial autonomy document within Kosovo”, reports Periscope.
Full announcement:
I hosted today the EU Special Representative for Kosovo Dialogue Mr. Peter Sorensen.
During the meeting, we discussed recent political developments in the country, especially for the Kosovo dialogue process, as well as for Kosovo's integration into the European Union.
I congratulated him on the job taken and announced Emissar Sorensen with the positions of the Democratic League about dialogue; that the LDK gives support to the process of dialogue with EU mediation and with the direct involvement of the United States of America; with particular emphasis on achieving mutual recognition. I specifically announced it, and with our position to reject the draft Association statute accepted by the government in exile; as a territorial autonomy document within Kosovo.
I asked the European Union to lift punitive measures for Kosovo because the same are only hurting our citizens, harming the very process of integrating Kosovo's Republic into the Euro-Atlantic family!
I also voiced confidence that the European Union will continue to support Kosovo in its integration efforts, as well as other processes.
