The day before the boss of NATO will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meanwhile, during the visit to Kosovo, Rutte is expected to be accompanied by ambassadors of NATO member states who are members of the North Atlantic Council.
NATO has not yet officially warned such a visit, reports Radio Free Europe.
Rutte himself had warned that he would visit Kosovo during the month of March in a debate he had previously had in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Rutte has also had a telephone conversation with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, on Monday.
Secretary - General NATO, Mark Rutte, had said a few days ago that stability in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia is in the interest of all and that he sees no reason to believe there could be any dramatic change in American NATO devotion.
He had said that during his stay in Bratislava, Slovakia, when he was asked in a debate by students whether he sees the possibility of restarting the conflict in Kosovo, as there is speculation that the new American policy could lead to military evacuation.
Allow me to be perfectly clear. Of all I understand from the American system, it is that they are fully devoted to NATO and current commitments. But let's see what happens. We can always have little policy changes or adaptations that can happen. Slovaks, Dutch and others are doing this. But I have no reason to believe there will be dramatic decisions. And, in general, in the Western Balkans, we need to be sure that, we keep this region focused, because stability in Kosovo, stability in Bosnia and stability on Serbia is in the interest of all of us”, he has responded.
Even Rutte after the elections in Kosovo had extended an invitation to continue the democratic process, part of which is the formation of coalitions.
Delegation NATO, led by Secretary General Rutte, will also visit the KFOR mission, which is led by NATO.
There are currently about 4700 soldiers on this mission. Italy has the largest contingent of 1250, with its command, while the United States has about 600 members on the mission.
