According to the calendar published on the official special page, the trial resumes after two weeks, March 17, until 23 court sessions are scheduled to be held until May 8th.
Of them, 8 are in March, 10 April and 5th in May, in which the interview of prosecution witnesses is expected to end, to proceed with those of the victims' protection and the protection of the accused.
The process is estimated by lack of transparency by attorney Ardian Bajraktari, under which the trial of Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi is one of the most closed processes.
It's a long-standing process which, of course, has confirmed its documents to the Specialised Chambers, continued the detention measure as the most severe measure for securing the defendant's presence, sometimes with reasonings of the stereotype, and I am optimistic that after the end of the prosecution's eventually witnesses' defense office there will be no at least legal reason to continue detention”, Bajrac Bajari said.
Meanwhile, Nasim Haradinaj, who was sentenced by this institution three years ago, says the Special Court has always been unfair.
“Since the beginning and until the end, this court has never been fair and has not reflected justice and sincerity, except hatred and nationalism or racism”, Haradinaj has said.
In judging Thaci and the others so far, questions have been answered by 123 witnesses of the Specialised Prosecutor, while the protection of the victims has warned they need up to 2 weeks for their witnesses, while the defenders have demanded up to 10 weeks available for planned witnesses.
