Lajcak becomes Slovak prime minister's adviser to Balkans

For this, Pellegrin has announced Albanian President Bajram Begaj during Friday's talks in Tirana. “I informed the president that former EU High Representative for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has become prime minister's adviser for security issues in the region”, Pellegrin said, adding that the Albanian government has a close person with the Slovak government for dialogue, reports Slovak news agency T. ASR, broadcast Periscope.
Lajcak has held different diplomatic positions, representing not only Slovakia but also the United Nations and the European Union. Recently (April 2020) he served as the European Union's special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue.
In the past, he has also served as ambassador to Russia, Japan and the countries of the Western Balkans. He served as Slovakia's foreign affairs minister several times and headed the 72nd UN General Assembly.
