In office Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reiterated allegations that Serbia has intervened in elections.
The one on the X platform has accused the Belgrade government of “strong and direct interventions”, which, according to him, “aimed at intimidating and threatening the Serb community in Kosovo. ”
Kurti has listed a series of actions he describes as political pressure and external interference in the country's democratic process.
According to Kurti, Serbian intervention has included <x0 financial threats to cut off Serbian benefits, blackmail, bribery, contracted cyber attacks and other forms of pressure, primarily directed at Serb parties challenging the dominance of the Serbian List and aim to bring political pluralism to the system, as well as to voters supporting other parties besides the Serbian List. ”
“in parliamentary elections held a month ago, we witnessed strong and direct interventions by Serbiaʹconcretically by its government, which aimed at intimidating and threatening the Serb community in Kosovo. These interventions included financial threats to cut off Serbian benefits, blackmail, bribery, contracted cyber attacks and other forms of pressure, mainly directed at Serb parties challenging the dominance of the Serbian List and aim to bring political pluralism to the system, as well as to voters supporting other parties besides the Serbian List.
On election day, buses transported voters from Serbia and collective voting was organised. Voters were monitored close to the deployments, and it became clear that whoever reported these actions to the police would have the threatened family”, Kurti wrote among other things.
