Jailing Against Curran Breakup Suspects in Prizren

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has scheduled the 30-day detention measure against suspects I.P., for tearing apart the holy book of Islam-Kurdish on March 3rd in Prizren.

He allegedly, by his actions, has stirred hatred and inadequacy among religious groups.

I.P., he was said to have torn up the sacred book while the pieces were ripped out on the street by the citizens.

The same “had received the Muslim holy book, the Qur'an, which it had torn away, so that after citizens have observed the fragments torn in the street, the case has been presented to the police, and in this case, it has caused great resentment in the Islamic community and has been violated between groups with various religious ideologies, with which the order and public tranquillity could be broken, ”, it is said further on.

With this, it is allegedly committed to the criminal act “The acceleration of division and failure of” by Article 141, par.l of the Criminal Code.

The suspect was detained on March 4th, with the Special Prosecutor's decision.
