Periscope has reported through sources that the Cultural Heritage Inspectorate has banned Pristina's municipality's work of overhauling the George Busek Square, which totals 18.4m euros.
This square extends close to three objects -- the Grand Hotel, the object of Kosovo Radio and the University “ -- Hasan Pristina”, which are in defense of the legacy.
This news has been confirmed by the Kosovo Institute for Cultural Heritage.
From this institution, they have said that the municipality has not submitted this project for approval to their institution.
“Comuna has not submitted this project for approval to our institution, even though it is limited to four monuments. The law clearly stipulates that each project must be approved in advance as an institute, we will do everything we can to prevent this operation from”, it says in their answer to Channel10.
Otherwise, this project has cost the Pristina municipality nothing short of 18.4m euros.

Four operators have applied for the implementation of this project.
The duration of this tender is the maximum 360 days, as described in the tender file.
