Hashim Thaci in Kosovo visits his father at KKUK

After three denied requests, the Special Court has approved the request to Hashim Thaci to come to Kosovo.

This is because his father is in a serious health condition.

Thaci has visited Dad at the Intern clinic in KKUK, writes NationalFollow Periscope.

He has been accompanied by numerous security forces.

In earlier denials, the Special estimated that Thaci's father's condition is not so serious.

On February 14th 2025, Hashim Thaci made his fourth request to the Special Court to visit Father in heavy health.

There former President Thaci had shown willingness to respect all procedures required.

“Mr. Thaci stresses that his father's state of health “tas has deteriorated further, [ Mr. President. Thaci stresses he is diagnosed with [ REDAKU] and that his treating physician has found that [ REDAKUED]”, says the Special Court document.

“Mr. Thaci claims he [s] REDECT] and for comfort [ REDECT]. 9 Mr. Thaci wants the visit to take place in the presence of [ REDAKUED]”, said further.

This has been kept completely secret by the court because, according to the Prosecutor, Thaci has great political influence in Kosovo, reports Paparacy, broadcast Periscope.

 

Thaci's defence had twice earlier this year called for his client's provisional release to visit his father, but the court has rejected both earlier requests.

Hashim Thaci has been at The Hague's Prosecution Centre since November 2020. He is being tried for war crimes, as well as eventually being subjected to an indictment against justice administration.

 

Otherwise, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, September 30th, 2022, has submitted the confirmed amended indictment to Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, which consists of ten points on charges.
