What? Is the price of importing peppers high or just the price for us as buyers?
Kosovo currently has no local production for peppers.
But according to public data from Kosovo Customs, the average import price for fresh peppers is only $1.24 per kilogram, January and February 2025.
Even for peppers coming from Turkey, the country is most imported when all taxes are included (ganial + T The total import price for VSH is about 1.55 $/kg.
Even if we take transportation this price does not reason the price that is being offered at the market today - up to $4.99 per kilo.
