United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer has warmly welcomed “news coming from Saudi Arabia this evening after Ukraine accepted the ceasefire.
“This is an important moment for peace in Ukraine and we must all now double our efforts to achieve a lasting and secure peace as soon as possible,” said Starmer in a statement.
He repeats a phrase used by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “Topi is now in the Russian field”.
He adds: “Russia must now agree to a ceasefire and an end to fighting also”, the BBC reported.
“We are willing to help end this war in a fair and permanent way that allows Ukraine to enjoy its freedom,” says Starmer ʹ announcing that it will gather leaders this weekend to discuss the upcoming “steps.
