490 women begin IVF procedure at QKUK, the supply of hormonal preparations is expected to begin soon

490 women have completed the first procedure of Associated Medical Fertilization, known as the IVF in QKUK gynecology. This procedure lasts with several phases, initially, the analysis is processed and it becomes a classification of what those patients can submit to IVF procedures.

To enable Kosovo couples who want to become parents through this method. QKUK is providing all necessary preparations, including opening tenders for providing hormonal preparations that serve to stimulate patients.

Zef Ndajaj, director of the CKUK Centre for Online Economics, says they have completed the first phase of this process, which is the diagnosis of patients.

“The IVF, as we say, has started with treatment or diagnosis of patients since mid-December. The IVF service lasts several periods, it's not a procedure that is conducted with an intervention, this should all be clear, so we're in the first phase of diagnosis and processing of patients. In the first phase, patients are diagnosed, processed, tested, and given a classification of what patients can submit to IVF procedures. Up to this stage, we have 490 patients who have been diagnosed and have access to IVF. Another 250 are on hold, so there's a lot of demand for IVF procedures from”, says Rudetaj, as it tells of the other stages waiting for a patient. But to do that, some of the money that he says is in the process of tendering is needed. These parameters are hermonal and need to stimulate patients”.

“After phase one, we start with the second phase, which is the stage of intervention or stimulus of the ovaries to make the intervention procedure. The second phase will begin as soon as all of the precautions that are certain hormonal paraparates that patients need inflammation are in the process, we are in the process of tendering the precautions expected within the week to be secured and started with the first cases of stimulation, then there is the interventional phase or the phase of transfer of weight cells. So it's an IVF procedure that lasts a few weeks or months, so there's no delay in the development of IVF”, Rudaj said.

Alongside the diagnosis of 490 first patients, 250 other women are waiting for diagnosis. Rudaj says delays are normal, as the process itself takes time.

“250 women are waiting for diagnosis and processing, while 490 women have been given greendride. The terms are now set, and we expect the parameters that have gone through the essential list. As soon as we're ready, we'll start with the simulation, but there's no developing IVF procedures”.

And then it's up to the patient, and it's processed with hormone therapy, and it probably takes 10-14 days to treat hormone therapy, because all patients can't follow the same hormone action. If the action is satisfactory, the cell is taken, the burden becomes outside and transfer is made to the patient. Even this phase takes several weeks, so it's a procedure that lasts a little”, says Rudaj.

Rudaj says that the age of 42 for women who want to submit to the IVF is set on the basis of international standards.

<x0) All will be tested where we can, but there are several cases that age determines that without donors over the age of 42 it is a problem to reach a pregnancy without any donors. So there are certain criteria that require us to do this processing of patients but not by our own will, but we will be based on standard operational procedures”, he says.

At QKUK, this service will be offered free of charge two times first, while then the price for procedure will be around 670 euros.
