In northern Mitrovica, the Serb-run populated municipality, citizens have started voting for parliamentary elections.
They gathered in the center of the city and, as in the past, jointly addressed polling stations.
This is the first time that citizens in the north return to the ballot boxes from 2022, when the Serb List -- the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo -- had withdrawn from Kosovo institutions and had called on Serbs to boycott the upcoming election processes.
Six political subjects representing the Serb community are participating in Sunday's elections: The Serbian List, the Serbian People's Movement, Serbian Democracy, the Party of Kosovo Serbs, For Freedom, Justice and Survival, and the Civic Initiative of People's Justice.
In Kosovo's ten majority Serb municipalities, the total number of registered voters is 106,029. / REL
