The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has opened the case for “causing general risk” following the tragic death of three children Saturday after the collapse of an object in Gjakova Jablanica.
The prosecution said it is taking “all necessary actions” to whiteen this tragic event, which it says police briefed him at midnight.
“The Founding Procuror in Gjakova, in connection with the tragic event that took place in the village of Jablanica, the Gjakova municipality, informs the public that yesterday at midnight by the Kosovo Police, we have reportedly collapsed an uninhabited object, resulting in the loss of the lives of three (3) minor persons who were unfortunately inside it at the moment of the crash of”, the Prosecutor's report said.
At the scene, the chief prosecutor, the caretaker prosecutor, all relevant Kosovo Police units, as well as the medical team that has confirmed the death of children, the prosecution said.
“With the State Attorney's decision, lifeless bodies have been sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), and case “is initiated. Cause of total risk”. The State Prosecutor, in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, is taking all necessary actions to whiteen this case”, the report said.
Police said in the 24-hour report that the object has collapsed under unknown circumstances, while the three boys -- two 15 and the other 14 -- were inside when they were taken off the plates.
Police Mayor Milazim River said the facility had remained uninhabited since the war in 1999.
