An attacker killed two people with a knife in a shopping mall in the Czech town of Hradec Kralove on Thursday, police said, adding that they had arrested the suspected attacker shortly after the incident.
Czech television reported that the suspect was a 16-year-old Czech citizen.
“Although we were on the scene within minutes of reporting, the two victims suffered injuries so severe that they could not be saved despite reactions to”, police said in an X post, Reuters reports.
