Education Chief Minister Nundman Jasharaj has said he wishes to form a Government where, according to him, he will sit down and negotiate with trade unions.
Jasharaj in an interview for “Online economy” has said Kurti Government has not had “suspend” to meet unionist demands.
This lack and delay and much worse that no exact date is known when parliament and government issued by the February 9th vote will activate. It is normal to create additional trouble because even during the four years of Kurti 2 Government, which has not had a marked outcome because there has been a lack of dialogue and many of the issues raised have been ignored by this government, and any delay affects issues and challenges to increase, and we are left to wish that we have a government that at least know how to approach dialogue and sit down with unions. We are left to hope that it will not happen to us as if four years with Kurt's rule that never existed. When not only the demands of our union, but the police firemen have remained as reported requests to protest, but we didn't have any dialogue and this outgoing government had no inclination to make any demands, and the demands have remained unfulfilled and the things they have done for education, and others have not been agreements with trade unions were because the government has gone to waste to make”.
On the other hand, he has said that salaries in Kosovo are the lowest in the Balkans:
The first “we are prepared to have a ministry that understands union problems that will be in conversation collective contracts because even the education sector and others have no contract, but public sector workers do not have collective agreements. These salaries in Kosovo have remained lower in the Balkans and, as such, are no longer the ones that enable an educational worker and others to live without sorrow, and most of them are in loans and their livelihood is constantly burdened”.
Any easier time it is to debate and reach agreement when the government is formed of two or more political subjects, because unions are more easily involved with a subject that is in the government engaged in finding someone who is better understanding. Governments that are two or more subjects are more cautious and have been seen in us when a party wins convincingly and has its government and parliament behaves arrogantly and has no inclination for dialogue. To have a Kosovo government two or more political subjects, but to have a government sitting on the couch knows it has a vote of the people and to reason on it”.
Jasharaj has reiterated that if they continue to be ignored, there may be protests and strikes.
If this doesn't happen, there will still be trouble and confrontation and it can't be ruled out that they can come to moments when our membership may require union action that we don't want, but if you continue to ignore the demands of the worst workers there may be protests and strikes” he said.
