A tragic event occurred on Saturday in Shkodra, where a three-year-old child lost his life at Regional Hospital after a serious health condition.
The child was introduced to a hospital with heart failure, low pulses, and poor vital signs, but despite medical intervention, he passed away in 10 minutes, reports Euronews.
Shortly thereafter, his sister arrived at the hospital with similar symptoms and was sent to Tirana to the QSUT in critical condition.
According to some unconfirmed sources yet toxicological analyses in Tirana have discovered signs of contamination with rat venom, raising doubts that the poison may have been placed by family members at the flat against mice, and children may have accidentally consumed it or fell into contact with it by undermining the possibility of a seasonal virosis, yet these remain all preliminary doubts until an official confirmation from institutions.
According to unconfirmed sources, analysis has been made at Toxicology in Tirana, where signs of rat contamination have been found, although there is still no official confirmation on the part of QSUT and Toxicological.
“After blood tests have come up with the results where signs of the contamination of Miu” were found, says Euronews Albania correspondent in Shkodra.
The family allegedly threw mice into the apartment”, says Euronews correspondent Albania in Shkodra.
