Actaza for damage to 37m euros in state budget, Nagip Krasniqi appears before court

For the new indictment tasked by former KEK chief that he damaged the state for 37m euros, the initial session is expected today, as in two other cases, sessions were postponed.

The incident against Krasniqi, Ymer Dragusha and Isuf Zeynep, was established on December 31st 2024 for criminal acts, “Use of duty or official authority, uncovering official secrecy and assistance in misuse of office and official authority”.

According to the indictment that has been published in the media, Krasniqi in the quality of KEK's chief chief, Dragusha, in the quality of the task manager of the procurement office and Zeynep, as representative of a legal company, is accused of causing damage to the state budget of about 37m euros.

The first point of the indictment device charges Krasniqi, who as KEK chief chief and Dragusha as the director of the procurement office of January 17th, 2022 to January 27, 2023, misusing office and official authority, have exceeded their competencies in order to benefit the other person -- in this case economic operator “Lite S. Aʹ, they violate the rights of other persons as well as cause damage to Kosovo's budget.

The Actakuz says that by exploiting official positions, in the case of developing procurement activity appointed as “The emergency capital reform of the bloc's bloc A5” have acted in full opposition to the rules specified with the No.04 Law L-042 for Public Procuration in the Republic of Kosovo.

According to the indictment, published by “The Justice Vow”, on December 27, 2022, Krasniqi invites defendant Dragusha and witness Emin Tmava to his office, asking them to initiate the market research procedure in order to initiate the negotiating procedure for the upper tender despite the fact that defendant Dragusha is aware that such a procedure is contrary to the rules of the LPP.

And on December 29, 2022, Krasniqi and Dragusha are said to have been negotiating the tender for negotiating procedures, conducting negotiations with the above-mentioned economic operators, without being members of the commission for assessment-negotiation, and yet without the announcement being made to announce on the KRPP's e-procurement page, as of January 16, 2023 after the end of negotiations with this operator, has made the announcement for e-procurement, with {rast eliminated from the economic operators <x>Intering> S. The first indictment against Krasniqi was set up on 19 August last year for criminal acts of abuse of official office or authority.

Nagip Krasniqi was arrested in 19.04.23 under suspicion of misuse of office, influence exercise and conflict of interest.

Krasniqi had remained in custody since 20,04,23, but was released five months later, with 15.09,203. Krasniqi's arrest was done at the order of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo. /Reporter
