More than 500 ATK officials file charges against Iron Murat

The Kosovo Tax Administration Workers' Union (ATK) has handed over a lawsuit to Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Hekuran Murati, due to the failure to approve the regulation for organising and classifying jobs in a communication to its members, which Insider has secured, the union suggests that around [...]
In a communication to its members, which Isander has provided, the union suggests that around 70% of ATK's staff have not benefited salary increases due to lack of this regulation.
They name this situation a consequence of the minister's inaction, accusing him of legal violations and violation of guaranteed rights with the Constitution.
“Taking into account recent developments and staff concerns related to wages, where around 70% of the staff had no salary increase. (Aside from those who hold the inspector's position under the work contract), we announce that this situation is due to not signing the Order for organising and setting jobs for ATK workers. No action by the Ministry of Finance, belonging to Mr. Iron Murati as a responsible person has caused judicial uncertainty as well as material consequences for ATK workers”, they say in their enamel.
The union argued that, despite continued demands and meetings with the minister, there has so far been no official announcement of approval and implementation of the regulation.
“against SSPATK's successive requests at the Ministry of Finance and Transfers, as well as the legal obligation based on Law No. 08/L-257 for Tax Procedure Management, so far we have no official announcement concerning the adoption and application of this regulation. In addition, we went to the minister's office asking to take action towards adopting the regulation, even though he promised that the regulation would soon be processed we have not yet announced anything”.
While we are in this situation (where apart from words we have nothing official), we have been in touch with the chosen lawyers and today we have submitted to the MPPT the request and the indictment against the responsible minister because except that we have been damaged so far in the coming months we can get even more damage and all these damage we will ask for in court procedure”, the union communique says.
ATK workers warned they would follow all legal ways to seek compensation for damages and to guarantee their rights.
