“Go to hell”- The victim of the 2018 robbery reacts sharply to the justice system after only 5 years' sentence

He cites Article 317, 367 and 366 of the Penal Code, stressing that “alone for non-licit possession is 3 years”.

“How is it possible that for an armed attempt, where I have been severely injured and where is the direct DNA evidence, the Court utters only 5 years in prison?”, He writes.

Finally, he has wrapped up his writing with a harsh response to Kosovo's justice system.

I, Aslan A SLAN, seriously injured in the event of 19,01,2018, where my colleague Wisar Morina and I were at work in exchange place “Euro-Save”, today I have once again experienced deep disappointment with the justice system.

On that day, four heavily armed men (two with Kalashnikov and two with short arms) tried to rob the exchange point. During their escape I was severely injured. One of the aggressors lost his hat inside the stolen vehicle, which, ironically, belonged to a policeman.

In 19,09,2021, the robbery of the money carrier in Gjilan Paralova took place, which later contacted the same persons involved in the attempted robbery where I was injured.

In 2024, the prosecution filed charges against six defendants for serious robbery:

• A. B
• V. S
• N. M

During the investigation, it was confirmed that the DNA of the defendant V.S. It was fully consistent with the evidence found in the remaining hat at the scene of the event. A non-responsible and direct evidence. However, V.S. He's never told who he was with intruding, not cooperating with the investigator or the DA.

Today, the Constitutional Court in Gjilan pronounced sentence on him for only five years in prison. And that's where the absurdity of our justice begins.

How is this conviction possible, when the Republic of Kosovo's own Criminal Code envisions much more severe penalties?

Article 317 Heavy Robbery / Tentim-Braving
It envisions stiffer sentences when the work is carried out by weapons, group, and serious bodily consequences.

Article 367: Using Weapons or Dangerous Tool
This article adds to the sentence when the weapon is used in the conduct of a criminal offense.

Article 366 Gunning Without Permission
The minimum punishment for this work is three years in prison, even when no other work is accomplished. And even more when we have attempted armed weapons, long weapons, stolen vehicles and serious injuries.

So only for illegal possession of a minimum sentence is three years. How is it that for an armed attempt, where I have been severely wounded and where there is direct DNA evidence, the Court utters only 5 years in prison?

Never did this court deal with my health consequences: 6 months without being able to walk straight, permanent therapy, wounds over 30cm in the chest, and internal injuries just onecm from the aorta.

I always loved this place. I have contributed to Kosovo in the most difficult times, lining up in the NLA ranks. But today I am deeply disappointed. This is not justice, and it cannot be called justice.

In the end, I have a message for the justice system:
Go to hell. Maybe that's where you find yourself, because by now you haven't even understood.
