Rama has also talked about fighting corruption, the US political clashes between Trump and Soros, as well as possible investments on the island of Sazan by Jared Kouchner.
Speaking of the work of Special Anti-Corruption Structura (SPAK) and mistakes that may occur during the investigation, Rama stresses that the independence of the Special Prosecutor should not be compromised.
I have said that we should build justice mechanisms that can prove their independence, investigating, investigating and condemning, no matter which way the issue comes. It's not as nice as going to opera. It's painful. It's bitter. But it's the only way. Is it perfect? No. Do they make mistakes? Of course. But at the end of the day, we must do everything not to affect the independence we have granted them, Rama told Austrian media, writes A2. CNN, the Periscope broadcast.
The prime minister also spoke of Albania's commitment towards EU membership, stressing the European Commission's strong support:
Will we be like Austria in two years? No, not at all. Membership is linked to very clear principles and criteria that must be fulfilled overall. But at this stage I see no danger to serious problems. We don't do this housework to please them. We do it to change Albania and make it more European, more democratic”, Rama said.
The interview reflects government efforts to consolidate justice and advance EU reforms as part of the membership strategy by 2030. /Periscopi
