A major research operation is under way at one of Austria's largest ski resorts today, as some skiers were abducted by a large avalanche.
The ortec fell about 9: 30 a.m. on open ground near Downscharte's neck, an area off the tracks on the Stubai glacier, is broadcast into Telegrafi.
The terrifying video showed skiers trying to save the avalanche as it rushed down the glacier.
Some skiers were in this area off the runway, which police said caused the avalanche. A lower part of the 9th runway in the resort was also hit by the giant snow wall and closed immediately.
Local media have reported that at least nine persons who were partially exhumed in the snow have since been rescued, with three of them sent by helicopter to the hospital.
The severity of their injuries is not yet known. The ski resort operator said some of the skiers were seen placing airbags against the avalanche.
