Today a year ago, about 7:00 p.m., Iber Lepentz's army in Varaba of Zubin Potok's municipality was the target of a kinetic terrorist attack. This was the second serious attack on our Republic by foreign actors in two consecutive years, following the pre-milial attack on Zvecan Banisk, and the first against our critical infrastructure.

As a result of the explosive explosion, the final part and one front of the aquadukite were severely damaged, thus seriously risking the water supply for all consumers who are served by this system, including the thermo power plant “Kosovo B”.

The institutional response was immediate and critical in preventing the catastrophic consequences aimed at the attack: reducing 60% of the electricity production capacities, cutting off the water supply for the municipality of Mitrovica, Svilaj, Drensas, Vushtrria, Fushe Kosovo and half of Pristina, cutting off central heating services in the capital, and halving the country's telecommunication capacities as a result of power shortages at the base stations.

The institutions' professional and successful actions ensured that despite physical damage and throughout the repair process, there will be sufficient water flow for cooling the thermoelectrics and maintenance of electricity production, as well as drinking water supplies for residents of affected municipalities.

In the record term of just one month, the damaged Aquaduk was rebuilt, the water flow along with the system returned to full operational capacity. Our answer witnessed the high reactive capacity of public enterprises and state institutions. The state and Republic again triumphed in the face of extremist and terrorist groups that support and financing find in official Belgrade, inspiration and methods found in Russia attacks on critical infrastructure at Iber Lepenc resembled Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy grid.

Following the raids in northern Kosovo, in connection with this attack, various weapons, uniforms and equipment had been confiscated, as well as Russian and Serbian emblems of intelligence, military and security structures were found. Even today, they are clear evidence of the involvement of extremist and Serb-Russian terrorist groups, with strong connections in Serbia aimed at destabilizing our country and creating an uncertain environment in the region.
