Disaster Victims Identification Unit officials found other bodies as they expanded the search into three other blocks of the Wang Fuk Court construction complex, which faced the deadliest fire in any of the world's residential buildings since 1980.
The last balance of victims is 146 since 1600 [in local time]. We cannot exclude the possibility of other victims”, the head of this unit, Tsang Schook, said at a media conference.
Over 1,000 people from all over the Chinese city gathered on Sunday at the residential complex in the Tai Po district of northern Hong Kong to honour fire victims.
Authorities have established a joint investigative group to reveal the cause of the fire.
Hong Kong's anti-corruption unit has arrested 11 people in connection with the fire, three of whom were also arrested by police for murder by carelessness.
The Indonesian consulate in Hong Kong said at least seven Indonesian citizens died of fire.
A Filipino worker abroad also lost his life in the fire, Manila's Consulate said on Saturday.
