The Gjakova hospital said that the M.R. patient. who died yesterday (Friday) has been in a coma (unawarely) for over three years and has been treated in central care throughout this period.
The reaction of the Gjakova Hospital on Saturday prompted the 24-hour Kosovo Police report, which reportedly told the death of the patient, M.R. has launched an investigation into <x0) irresponsible medical treatment” following allegations expressed by its co-existence.
But the hospital points out that the accuser is not part of the family and his statements do not match the facts, presenting a deliberate attempt to tarnish staff work.
“Medical staff and nurses have provided constant and professional care, in line with medical protocols for such cases”, it is said in response.
Although visits to Intensive Care are operated on strict regulations, as the Gjakova Hospital acknowledged, the patient's family have been present all the time she has been in the hospital.
The hospital has appealed that competent bodies of health inspectorate, police and the Prosecutor's Office treat the case seriously and prevent slander or manipulation that harm health workers' work.
