Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has congratulated the Albanian people under Albania's Flag and Independence Day, stressing the historic significance of the four events marked for the Albanian nation.
It has remembered Flag Day, Albania's independence, the birth of Legendary Commander Adem Jashari and the first public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) as events representing “the background of national pride”.
In her Facebook message, Osman has named the link between Kosovo and Albania as deep and inseparable, calling both states “two flags, but a heart.
“From Skenderbeu's Crewe, the Vlora of Ismail Kemal and the Jasharaites Precasi, our story is written with blood, courage and faith. Today, Kosovo and Albania walk side by side: two states, one nation, two flags, one heart.
