Bulgarian soldiers from the NATO-led KFOR Regional Command's Musical Battalion (RC-W) completed a five-day exercise in the area of Dragash/Dragaš.
The goal of the exercise was to improve surveillance skills through a combination of patrols with tools and legs, ensuring that KFOR maintain operational effectiveness in monitoring and controlling the area.
These exercises and patrols are essential to maintaining a visible and impartial presence, raising awareness of the situation and supporting stability throughout the RC-W area of responsibility.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe and stable environment for all people living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security respondents.
