He used to blame the opposition for RTK's salaries, today when the elections are near Kurti shares 4.48m euros as the mandatory “promation”

The incumbent Kosovo government today has made a decision to allocate 4m and 480 thousand euros for the execution of salaries of around 700 RTK workers, who have been on strike for several days now due to non-paying salaries. The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said this decision has been made [...]
The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said this decision was taken in the wake of the lack of functionalisation of the Parliamentary Assembly and Commissions, naming this step a temporary and imposed solution.
“Sic has warned this on Monday at the conference of Romanian Minister Murati we have considered several options to get out of this situation. Today these tools are being separated by the savings category, this current or better to say this current approach is only a forced improvisement following our continued efforts in the Kosovo Assembly to adopt the budget for RTK at”, Kurti said, reporting news.net, broadcasts Periscopi.
Even incumbent Finance Minister Iron Murati said the funds were secured by saving from existing projects in other budgetary organisations.
<x0) RTK, which has had to be spared or taken away as savings from existing projects within the framework of other budgetary organisations because the Commission for Boards was refused in the Assembly to be established and the budget for RTK voted. Unable to secure workers' wages now and how long on the part of the Parliament as founder RTK needed us as Government to take this improvised step to find an emergency solution and secure salaries for public broadcaster”, Murati said.
But days earlier, Kurt had responded to a letter from three international media organisations, urging them to encourage the former opposition to assume institutional responsibilities in the RTK issue.
His response, published by the European Federation of Journalists, also contained legal clarifications on the budget approved for the public broadcaster.
He stressed that the government is limited by the legal framework and that the final decision on salaries should be made in the Assembly.
“at the same time, the government must act strictly within the framework of Kosovo laws and constitutional division of powers. According to Law No. 08/L-332 for Buxhere Aloctions for 2025, Parliament approved the amount of $8,96 000 for RTK”, Kurti stressed.
In the November 13th letter, he blamed the opposition for failing to establish parliamentary commissions.
“under current circumstances, while the Assembly has been constitutionalised, but opposition parties refuse to form parliamentary committees, there is no competent committee to make the required decision, and the executive cannot legally replace this competency”, Kurti said.
Even incumbent Minister Iron Murati said financial options are too limited, especially since budget reserves have been exhausted since the beginning of the year.
It's hard to solve, but we're looking through some form of savings... The budget reserve, which has been reserved and budgeted, is unfortunately exhausted in the first half of the year, because we lost to arbitration at Grand Hotel. It was a duty of past governments”.
Murati also cited the overdraft given in August, saying it was done in hopes that the Assembly would be functional and the parliamentary commission could adopt the budget.
Other parties flatly refused, we were ready for the commission, but our votes were insufficient. So we've come to the situation that the Parliament rejected RTK salaries. There is no way to function the commission and accommodate the” tools, he said, adding that a solution is being sought through domestic savings.
