Begaj at the official reception: Our fates are divided against our will, today the fate of Albania and Kosovo is in our hands

Prior to the guests, among whom was Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, President Begaj started with the message for unity and strengthening the Albanian factor in the Balkans.
This flag knows no division, no narrow interests, no boundaries between us. He knows only our union and responsibility to advance the country we inherited from the first. Our fates were split against our will, today the fate of Albania and Kosovo and all Albanians in the region is in our hands. It is time to be together, support the development of Albanian communities and work to make each Albanian feel inside and outside of the country part of a nation moving ahead of”.
In his address, the head of state said that in 113 years independent, Albania has created a serious image in the international arena, while stressing the importance of integration into the European Union.
Today, 113 years later, we are again close to another historic objective: full membership in the European family. We've never been this close before. We don't ask for a place, but we want to take our place. Membership requires us strong institutions, reliable justice, competitive and stable economies, quality education and health, and a professional public administration. Membership is a test we must pass only as a state and as a society”.
In his message, President Begaj did not fail to mention all Albanians, who celebrate independence outside Albanian territory, around the world.
The Albanian subx0-Seapora, distributed on every continent, is a powerful bridge with the world, is our heart beating away, is an extraordinary source of expertise, investment and cultural diplomacy. Our job as a state is to listen, to include and create real participation space”.
In the end, the head of the Albanian State remembered the wars being fought in the world, praising Albania's contribution to peace, security and dialogue as NATO's ally, while stressing that our country remains a strong ally of the European Union and the United States.
