Full response:
Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) welcomes today's decision by the Government in Kosovo to share the budget for public broadcaster, RTK, the savings category.
This decision is a delayed relief for the 700 RTK employees and their families. AGK laments that the situation of long waits for salaries has been repeated twice a year. Today's decision is also temporary.
AGK calls for stable financing RTK's to be a priority in the new legislature next year, as well as resolving the property problem through a new law.
The AGK also calls for respect for the editorial independence of the public broadcaster and for stopping political pressure from the Government and the political party Vetevendosje.
