The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, in honour of Flag Day and the 113th anniversary of Albania's Independence, wishes all Albanians November 28th.

All Albanians everywhere are congratulations 28 November 4th Flag Day, the historic day, which was won with a lot of sacrifice by patriots, men and women, who had common ideals, the long-standing aspirations for freedom of independence”, he said.

Abdixhiku also mentioned historical figures that contributed to the country.

Today we proudly remember the birth of a free, independent nation based on ideal values that unite us. Albania became reality thanks to the determination and courage of a visionary generation, which challenged any obstacle to declaring independence and building a society on freedom, dignity and democracy. This date relates to the finest figures in our national history: Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu, Ismail Kemali and the patriots who declared independence; Historical President Ibrahim Rugova, Kosovo's head of state; legendary Commander Adem Jashari, example of the country's sacrifice and defence. Today we honor the martyrs, heroes and warriors of the Kosovo Liberation Army with deep respect. Without their work, today we would not enjoy the freedom we have”, says the LDK's post.

Obadiah stressed that Albania has become a factor of peace and stability in the region.

Albania, after more than a century of independence, has become a factor of peace and stability in the region. Flag Day's message remains clear: to remember the past with pride, to honor the fallen and to work devotedly for the future of Albanians wherever they are. God bless Albanians! God bless Albania! God bless Kosovo!”, he added further.
